Conference Logo & Theme Contest

Call for Submissions;

Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute is holding its 3rd Asia Pacific Conference on Engineering and Technopreneurship from 23 – 24 October 2012 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In conjunction with the above event, we are holding a competition to obtain the most suitable conference logo and theme. All UniKL Staff and Students are invited to join this competition.

This is a call for submissions of conference logo and theme to be used in printed and digital (online) materials for the event—e.g., in advertisements, on the conference program. The winning entry will secure a prize of RM150 for each category for its designer(s). Copyright of the winning logo will be held by UniKL BMI.

Category 1: Logo (RM150.00)
Category 2: Theme/ Tagline (RM150.00)

Criteria to be used in selecting the winning entry are the following:
• Compelling use of visual imagery
• Clarity and appeal in overall design
• size 180Wx60H pixels including logo and theme
Ideally, the logo should:
• Indicate that this is an academic research event, i.e. an event for scholars rather than artists, policy-makers, or activists.
• Be usable year-by-year, on different websites and with different designs, online or on print (so, it should not include a date, should have a relatively easy time blending in with changing website colours and designs
• Entries should be submitted in digital form; the format should be in *.psd and *.jpeg only, to azrul@bmi.unikl.edu.my / acet2012@gmail.com by 29 February 2012.

hmm...the day started beautiful but when i was summoned to see the King, i knew i'll be given more tasks hehehhehehe today's orders from the Majesty (not much..just five..yup..FIVEEEEEEE...sabo jek laa) would include future projects and His Royal Highness also touched on the effectiveness of my unit..errrkk..hebat sgt ke dia nk comment2 nie..anyway, i've completed 2 and 3 more to go..huhuhu..pensyannnnnnnnnnnnn..

esok dh la nk kena jd Cip kat hall..then ptg jadik inspector gadget..bila nak pi membantu the nation's economy nie..tapi takpe..mlm esok kita gi TGV eh..tgk THOR..yup..and then a special dinner..yeayyyyy...i'll find ways to treat myself ahahahhahahaa..as usual..

india trip 12 - 16 may 2010

will be in india ... specifically new delhi n agra (taj mahal) yeayyyyyyy...been wanting to go for ages...alhamdulillah, my dream comes true...OYSDKT...

plan to shop for spices (ye la tu...) kurtas...sarees...fridge magnets...pe lagi eh ahahahhahaha...

pepehal pun nak kena rest....flight at 6.20pm...wow!!!...

..::a productive thursday::.

well...the day started early...extremely early than usual...why? i was the chief invigilator for the 8.30 exam...arrggggghhhhhhhh...had to wake up early...rushed to academic affairs to get the file by 8am..rushed to the hall..wait for the subject leaders n invigilators to come n set the papers accordingly...helped them as some were late..huhuhuhuhuhuhuuhuhu..

by 8.15, students were let in...saw many familiar faces hehhehehehe...by 8.20, everyone was ready..i gave the briefing...sounded like announcement for flights departing for Zurich ahahhahahahahah (one student actually smsed me after the exam saying that i sounded like a steward ahahhahahhaha...let's just be positive n take it as a compliment ya..) paper ended at 10.25, everything went smooth...thanks to kak sal n all the others..

by 11am, again, i had to be a the hall..this time for disciplinary check...huhuuhuhuhuhuhuhu...by 12 i was back in the office, just in time for the pot luck do..goshhhhh...i forgot about the drinks..we (cikman n i) was supposed to prepare my famous bandung muar kasih sayang..again...rushed home to get he containers, syrup, milk, soda n mineral water...bought ice from the cafe n rushed back to office...had lots of compliments for the drinks hehehhehehehehe

there were just so much food...aty n bid prepared fish curry n fried cicken n fried yam...joan prepared cup cakes n kerabu mangga n kerang rebus...kak ainul n kak uji bought rice...hazli n hanim ordered kuihs...azanee prepared rojak buah...kak ida brought wajik n somebody brought tempoyak, sambal belacan, petai, jering, kacang botol, cucumber etc...i think there are some more which i forgot to mention...enjoyed the food hehehhehehehe thanks GSians

after lunch, remembered that i have another makan invitation by the part time degree students at the staff cafe...as not to disappoint them, i made my appearance...the door gift was nice...much much food...tried the kambing masak lemak kot n sotong tepung...my tummy just couldnt take it anymore...anyway, thanks guys..

my day didnt stop there...citibank delivered my stuffs which i redeemed from my points...got myself a rice cooker, a bluetooth mouse, two high sierra bags...awesome...ordered them online on sunday...n like magic, delivered today...efficient...good job!!..

KYRS got us good news, as always...the proposal to India was signed (finally) and we can now make the necessary preparations...filling in forms for transport...advance and stuffs..yeayyyyyy...thanks KYRS for such a splendid job...

my dinner-do with the winners from the outsiders bowling match was cancelled...so i banked in RM50 to the organizer...at least i've fulfilled my part to treat them dinner...since there's noting much to do..we decided to shop ahahhahahha where else if not JJ...bought some things n had a very light dinner (was so full the whole day)...

just had my cough syrup (i gues that thing helps me to sleep)...so, that's a sign of goodbye..a long day 2moro...bowling with the selected ones for the unikl sports carnival...out of 5 (amir, radin, zali, haris n hafiz) 2 will be selected..so, we'll play 5 games at 11am and another 5 games at 3pm...toatal the scores n the highest 2 will represent BMI...wish me luck...

nite2 all....much mmmmuuuuaaaahhhhhsssss...

...a tiring wednesday...

been busy...let's see...what did i do y'day..hmmm...was in the office early to settle the visa...then brought LUV n OPKIM members to Pusat Bandar Damansara to do their group pasport..it was a nitemare...didnt really know where the place is...so, redah je lor...luckily we got there safely n just in time to get pictures taken, form filled in...queued for ages and by 4 i was back in bmi..

as usual, wednesday will be our (KYRS n DOMF) secret recipe day...was there a bit late...thanks KYRS for driving, as usual hehehehehhehe..had my regular fish n chips n mocha espresso. KYRS tried laksa sarawak n her regular ice blended cappucino.. she said that it wasnt that bad...might try it one of these days..

then we went to memory lane to get cik Teddy a card...a farewell card cum a good luck card...found 1 card which is cute n cheeky..love it at first sight...

at nite, cikman prepared dinner ; chicken soup (my fav), telur dadar n sayur kacang botol...PLUS my ribena...yeayyyyy....

had my cough syrup soon after n went off to dreamland early hehehehhehehe
